Frequently Asked Questions
License & Price
I already have a monitor and a computer, can I just purchase licenses form you?
Yes, of course. Please contact us to make sure that the hardware you have is compatible with our software.
I would like to install one DigiWave "display solution" in each of my three outlets. How many licenses do I need?
To implement such configuration you will require one DigiWave Player license (with a validity of one year) for each display solution. Assuming that the content to be displayed in your outlets is generated from one main office, you will need to add one DigiWave Assembler license (which has a validity of one year). So, in total you will need four licenses: three Player licenses and one Assembler license. Please feel free to contact us to find out more and get an accurate quotation.
What is the difference between the the Standard and Extended version of the Assembler license?
Both licenses have a validity of one year. The difference is in the type of presentations that you can assemble.
Standard licenses assemble "linear presentations", that is to say, a sequences of maximum 20 scenes (in a power point presentation they will be called "slides") which can contain a maximum of four targets each. A target can be either another image or a video. This sets a maximum number of images/videos to 80.
On the other hand, Extended licenses assemble "multi-level" presentations, very much like a the folder structure in your computer (analogous to a tree structure). The maximum number of levels that can be assembled is 50. Each "scene" can contain up to a maximum of 8 targets and each target can store on the same level up to 20 scenes. I short the limit on the maximum number of images/videos that you can assemble with an Extended license is determined by the storage space available in the computer storage disk.
What are the duration of DigiWave licenses?
All licenses, Player and Assembler, have a duration of one year.
Could you explain how the Player and the Assembler license are typically combined ?
The combination very much depends on how our customers want to use DigiWave technology. To illustrate this let me give you two examples. Company A wants to implement one advertising display in each of their ten shops (for a total of 10 players). In this case company A will typically require ten Player licenses and one Assembler license. The Assembler license will be assigned to a PC located in the head quarter office and will be used to assemble the presentation that are then distributed among the ten shops. On the other hand, company B plans to use DigiWave technology to allow their ten managers to deliver awesome presentations in the two meeting rooms available in their office. In this case company B will require ten Assembler licenses (to allow each manager to assemble their own presentation on their PC/Laptop) and two Player licenses, one for each PC located in each meeting room.
